How is everyone doing? Another new month--Happy New Month everyone! Wishing you all a wonderful month filled with love, happiness, and peace :)

How was everyone's weekend? I finally got a chance to go to the movies after months of procrastination due to my busy schedule with school. I saw the movie "Safe House". Has anyone seen it yet? Love the movie and Denzel Washington never disappoints. He is a brilliant actor--love his attitude in the movie. I was also surprised to see Ryan Reynolds is something besides a romantic comedy and I loved it.

Regarding my outfit, I wanted to wear something simple, but yet sexy and edgy. I love the shirt. As soon as I received it from Sugarlips, I was eager to wear it even though the weather was saying otherwise. I love the peek-a-boo at the back--so sexy huh ;)

I can't wait to also wear it as a coverup on the beach paired with destructive denim shorts or maybe a floral shorts. As you can see, I can't wait for my vacation trip to Puerto Rico next month...Whoop! Whoop!

Shorts' season

Hope everyone is doing great. I am going to keep this post brief because as I am typing, I can barely keep my eyes open for so long--I barely had 3 hours sleep from last night. Therefore, I don't want to start rambling off key :)

It feels like the week just started and now the weekend is around the corner. In fact, I can't believe that March will be over this week. This means I am a month closer to my graduation and my birthday month :)

I wore this out to friend's birthday dinner at a restaurant in downtown Maryland called XS. Love the venue and any place that lets me eat waffle anytime of the day is a plus :) It was nice to get out after weeks of being a slave to my books and school. I almost forgot what fun times with friends felt like.

Out In Lagos

Hey beautiful people! How is your day going? I am officially on my way back to the airport and heading back to the States. I had an awesome time here despite my flight being rescheduled due to the labor strike.  I went almost everywhere that I wanted to go to and all has been fun filled with interesting experiences. 

Went out with some family friends to the beach by Lekki in Lagos. They were also having some sort of a reunion thing for my friend's school: Covenant University. It was just nice setting with our friends and enjoying the company of the other visitors at the event.

Tribal Print

This week is going by so fast. This is my last week here and it looks like my flight will be delayed due to the prolonged labor strike. For now, I am crossing my fingers and hoping things get resolved.

In reference to my outfit, I have had the fabric for a while before deciding to make something with it. I decided to combine two different fabrics to create this short. Knowing the temperature here, it is hard to wear anything, but shorts - comfy.

Lady In Red

This is my first official post in 2012... :)

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday and the new year started off on a good note. I am still enjoying my visit here in Nigeria. It is a full house here because most family members from Canada and London are all in town; this means that the house is never dull. My husband's 20months old niece Maya is definitely entertaining everyone with her few words :) 

For this outfit, I decided to keep the accessories minimal. One thing some people fail to do is knowing when to go loud with accessories and when to keep it at a minimum.

On another note, being in Nigeria and driving through developed and undeveloped areas has brought a lot of happy & sad moments. One of the days that I was out with a friend, I came across this area seeing some overworked and malnourished kids brought tears to my eyes. I love that country, but I believe that a lot needs to be done and I plan in doing my own share; but it not what I can do alone. Lets make a difference please!

Traveling pants

Hello Beautiful people! Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday and a nice weekend. My weekend was relaxing. Besides relaxing, eating, and fun evenings with hubby, family and friends, I had to prepare for my final exams. I took one of my finals tonight, which went well; so right now, I am officially done with my Monday classes, Investment Finance. I am looking forward to two more weeks of school then I can officially put my mind on my trip to Nigeria.

My trip to Nigeria this December is almost bitter/sweet because I have not been back since my grandma passed almost 4years ago. I can't believe that when I get there I will not get to see or hear her funny comments about my heels. I was a bit emotional last night looking at this necklace that I bought from Macy's that reminded me so much about her and also knowing that she would have celebrated her birthday on November 25th. I truly miss her.

Anyway, the sweet part of this trip is that I get to enjoy the company of family and friends that I have made over the years. I also get to see some friends that I have made through blogging. I think it will be nice to organize a dinner with all the bloggers, friends, fashionista in Nigeria. If you are interested and will be in Nigeria in December/January, email me.

Black & Yellow

Welcome to the month of November! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! For those that celebrated Halloween, what did you wear?  I spent my weekend with mixing work and fun in Vegas. As a first time Vegas guest, I am really enjoying the city--so many lights and all types of uniques things and individuals. My visit here is almost over in a day. My experience here includes the gondola ride at The Venetian and also Circus de Soleil show, which was interesting. 

Again, since it was halloween weekend, everyone here went above and beyond with their halloween costumes. People were in costumes from the dusk to dawn whether they were walking down the street or just gambling...lots of uniques and interesting costumes.

On the other hand, I wore this outfit before I left. I have been into leather lately, so I had to dig up this leather skirt that I bought last year--combing two of my current obsessions: leather and statement necklace. You can always make a simple out standout by adding a bold necklace. I am always on the hunt for bold, big, and unique pieces.

Come to the dark side

How is everyone's week going? This is one of those weeks where I wish it could be over. I am already tired and hoping for Friday to get here. I have been on lack of sleep overdrive and school is slowly getting busy. I am counting down to Friday. I will have "Cheers to the weekend" on repeat and some mimosa.  :)

On another note, did anybody watch "Two and Half Men" or "Dancing with the Stars"? What are your thoughts? I kept switching the channel back and forth for both shows. For "Two and Half Men," it felt like something was missing -- I kind of miss Charlie Sheen's character. Ashton Kutcher was good, but then again, it felt like the writers had him in similar dialogue like Jake. Then there is "Dancing with the Stars," which has a lot of interesting people to watch from Nancy Grace to David Arquette. The fall TV line up is looking great, but I can't wait for Gossip Girl to come back.

I should be asleep right now, but I love you guys so much that is why I am still awake and blogging :)

I sincerely thank you all for all your support. You inspire me to blog even when I have to be awake in 4 hours. :)

If you follow me on twitter, I proclaimed how tired I was today after sitting in class for so long. For a second, it felt like the professor was going for another round of teaching. I was tired and starving; immediately after class, I treated myself to a late night Chick-fil-A--unhealthy...but I have been craving for some waffle fries even before class began LOL!

On another note, I have been wanting to take yoga classes. After procrastinating, I think I will be adding yoga to my already filled schedule. :)
