Out In Lagos

Hey beautiful people! How is your day going? I am officially on my way back to the airport and heading back to the States. I had an awesome time here despite my flight being rescheduled due to the labor strike.  I went almost everywhere that I wanted to go to and all has been fun filled with interesting experiences. 

Went out with some family friends to the beach by Lekki in Lagos. They were also having some sort of a reunion thing for my friend's school: Covenant University. It was just nice setting with our friends and enjoying the company of the other visitors at the event.

Where it all started...

After arriving Lagos, Nigeria, I had to go to the East to visit some family members and friends. I was also planning to attend a wedding with my friend; but thanks to random delaying of flights, I didn't make it to the wedding on time. When I got to the wedding, it was pretty much over. At least I tried to honor the invite. Later in the evening, the young couples had a party for all their young friends, which I attended with my friend Kasie. It was fun seeing a lot of people that I have known since elementary school.

While in Enugu, I got introduced to 'Barcelos' waffle ice-cream, I became addicted especially since the weather is pretty hot. Now I am on the hunt for where to get one in Lagos. Thanks to my twitter follower, I am heading to Chocolate factory tomorrow :)

Dinner With Friends

Prior to my departure and Christmas, I planned a dinner with friends to catch up since everyone has been so busy with work or school. Again, since I was traveling it was nice to reunite before the new year.

Currently blogging from Lagos, Nigeria--it is ridiculously warm. I am still trying to adjust to the 6 hours time difference. As I blog, it is currently 1am  3am here and I have to be up pretty early because I have a flight to the East coast to see family, friends, and for a wedding.

I was having second thoughts about this dress, but after some adjusting and convincing from my friend B and hubby, I decided to "work" it -- love Aqua clothes :)

Random thoughts

Hello beautiful people! I am officially done with school--so excited! Class today was the longest ever. I didn't leave school until about 10pm waiting for the rest of the class to finish their presentation. Actually, class typically ends around 8:50pm, but today was exceptional. The good thing is I can officially get some sleep and not worry about what papers, cases, or group meetings.

Today's post includes pictures that I took over this year, but I was not able to post it. All these are random pictures just like my thoughts tonight. And since I am exhausted, I will keep this post short and sweet :)

The City...

QUICK BREAKFAST:


I was in New York the other day for fun and went shopping with my friend and blogger Adaku of ThirdWorldProfashional. It was nice catching up, having "girl talks", and walking around Manhattan. The funny part of the day was when we came across a photographer/paparazzi/stalker in Times Square who kept taking our pictures and did not give us a reason why he was taking the pictures or where they will be posted. Oh...did I mention that he seemed to be in love with my friend--- hilarious, I must say!

My weekend was definitely fun. Now, I am looking forward to my trip this week. Like I mentioned in previous post, I have planned a surprise for my hubby whose birthday is on Sunday. He knows of a travel plan but has NO idea where we are going. My only hint is...it is part of the Great Antilles.  :)
