Paisley bright

This week has been one of the longest weeks so far. From Saturday up until yesterday, I forgot what a good sleep felt like. If you are following me on Facebook or twitter, I mentioned that I had my exit exam for graduate school on Saturday. After the exam, I spent my whole day at the library with my case group. I thought spending long hours on Saturday or Sunday at the library was enough...Nope! I spent Monday after work at the library until almost 2am and I had to be up again at 5am. You should have seen my eyes. I looked like I got punched in the eyes LOL!

Anyway, glad that it is over for a second and I can try to get some rest this weekend. In a nutshell, I spent my weekend at the library. What did you guys do?

One good thing this week is that the weather is warming up. Since Monday, the weather has been feeling more like spring/summer--70 & 80 degrees. I couldn't be happier :)

Neon Pink

How is everyone doing today? The weather seems to be warming up here. Well, let me just say, it warms on somedays and then switches back to cold/freezing weather. I heard the weather is suppose to reach 70 degrees today, which is great for March here in Maryland. I seriously miss warm weather. I have had enough of the cold.

Anyway, I was meant to upload this post last night, but I was so tired after class. The funny thing is that while I was working on this post last night, I fell asleep right next to my laptop with my school books next to me until my alarm went off at 5am. I guess you can't cheat sleep sometimes. :)

Regarding this outfit, I wore this to my friend's surprise birthday game night for her finacee. I just wanted to go with something simple, but yet edgy by pairing my victoria's secret v-neck tank top. Adding the Zara skirt brought a bit of edginess & sexiness to the outfit. I love v-neck tees--it can always be dressed up or down.

The Writing Is On The Wall

Hello Beautiful people! How was your weekend? 

For me,  my weekend was nonexistent because I still have the last week of school to prepare for. I spent my Saturday in the library from 12p to about 11pm working on a group paper and presentation. We pretty much turned the study room to our mini living room with snacks, music, and side chats. In all, it was productive.

On Sunday, it was all about recovering and relaxing from being a nerd all day on Saturday. I stayed home and attempted to figure out what clothes or shoes to pack for my trip even though it is three weeks away. The rest of my Sunday evening, I watched christmas movies on Lifetime and I also got to see "Fours Christmas" for the first time--I know I am beyond late :)

Mellow Yellow

I wore this out on a Sunday afternoon with my hubby; but when I decided to take some pictures, the rain starting pouring out of the blue, so we decided to grab something to eat at La Madeline. I love La Madeline. I could eat their Caesar Salad everyday.

I spent Sunday evening watching Emmy's red carpet, but I didn't get to watch the award because I had to finish up my assignment on Investment Portfolio. I didn't go to bed until around 1am or so. The next day at work, I needed a big cup of coffee to keep me alert because I barely had 5 hours of sleep.

 Taste as good as it looks :)

After the ordeal

With hurricane Irene all weekend long, I spent most of my weekend indoors resting. Normally, I don't like taking naps, but I was so tired on Saturday after work that I slept for a long time. This resulted in me being wide awake all night and spending the night studying and flipping through magazines.

Late Saturday evening, our power went off. I felt like a restless kid. Having no power was not fun at all. It was so hard to sleep and I got tired of eating cereal and bread :)  When we went out to eat after the weather subsided the following day, the waiting time to get seated at the restaurant was ridiculous. 

On Sunday, the weather was getting better, but still no power. I had a withdrawal from blogging and visiting some of my favorite blogs. My Power didn't return until about 5 hours ago.

Hope everyone was safe during hurricane Irene.

A Day in my life

Cheers to another weekend! I feel like I had two weekends back-to-back because I only had three work days this week due to 4th of July holiday.

I wore this dress over the weekend while out in downtown with the hubby.

 For an edgy look, I wore my H&M dress and Sam Edelman's booties. Without being overboard, I added the beige Aldo bag  and colored bangles; it softens the look by adding some colors to the outfit. To complete to look, I had to add my current obsession, which is the round sunglasses. I call it my "rockstar" glasses. :)
