As bad as last year was, we're happy to report that sustainability has not gone by the wayside. In fact, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average began to recover, the number of projects following LEED guidelines also rose a whopping 10 percent from 2008. And President Barack Obama can be proud that, among the clients most receptive to green design, government is the sector leading the charge.
