I must say that March practically whizzed by and I felt as though I were constantly running to keep up with it. I still have items to photograph so I can share them with you and I do thank you for your patience.
I find it hard to believe that the Taffy blouse is the fourth project in The Colette Sewing Handbook! I have been having so much fun with this sew along and I can't believe we're only a couple of projects away from wrapping it up! Boo!
Erin has come up with a brilliant schedule and special features for this month. Check it out below:
April 6th - Let's Talk About Fabric
April 13th - Marvellous Muslins
April 20th - Special Guests
April 30th - Taffy ParadeLooks pretty good, eh? We'll be chatting about fabric choices and how they affect the outcome of this project. Bias tape plays an important role in the Taffy blouse and we plan on giving it the spotlight it deserves. We even have special guests arranged to come and have a chat and a virtual cup of tea.
I don't know about you, but when I first reviewed the handbook, the Taffy blouse was the project that infused me with pure terror. Sheer and potentially uncooperative fabrics? French Seams? Miles of bias tape. Eeek! Now, I'm happy to say I am relishing the challenge of making this blouse and it's all down to Sarai's wonderful teaching style and the marvellous support of all of you!
Meet you back here on Friday, April 6th!
