 The ride to the event was funny, because I drove along with my friend Chioma and we got lost even with the help of GPS :D!!!

The GPS kept saying, "You've reach your destination;" but surely we were in the middle of no where!

Overall, the night was fun, The birthday boy was surely having fun! Also, catching up with my "omo Igbos" Nomso and Chioma LOL!

End of another weekend

I had a wonderful weekend. Despite the all day rain/weather storm on Saturday, I decided to go for a friend's baby shower--I had a blast! Lots of games and great African dishes--some, I can barely prepare :)
Today, after church, I just ordered pizza and talked forever with friends. I love having people around me; so, I definiately had a great time with my friends, chatting and doing mini video shots :). Right now am going to go watch Mtv award. Till then...

Hey Mickey your so fine, your so fine you blow my mind, HEY MICKEY!!!

Many of you might know the song that I used as my title. For some reason, as I was about to post todays outfit, that song pop into my head and now I can't stop singing it. Today, It is pretty HOT outside--such a weird weather in MD--today is burning hot and the next day, you're searching for a cardigan--global warming?
As I am typing this, I just want a strawberry smoothie with whip cream--yay! its my favorite and great for a cool down :) So, a purpose to step out!
Besides that, most of my day today will be spent indoors too hot to step out--might melt :-D

Studded!!!

I am so overwhelmed by so much love and sweet comments. I just want to thanks you all for visiting and leaving such sweetness! This weekend has been quite calm and relaxing--so much rain, which is a good thing because the weather is much cooler; so I went for a walk.
OMG! Could you believe September is here already? I have lots of shows lined up for the new season; but, I am really looking forward to "Gossip Girls". I have set my Tivo in preparation. ;) While I wait on the premier of Gossip Girls, I decided to catch up on one of my all time best movie "Sound of Music". Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

New Hair Cut

Like my friends will say, "finally". Yeah, I have finally cut my hair. I just wanted something different as fall is approaching. It also comes with my ever evolving style. I guess right now, am loving anything inspired by men, rock, black, European...the list goes on.

Last of Long hair

I decided to try some thing different which is taking inches off my hair, I finally got a hair cut; so, this is the last pictures of a longer hair for now except if extension come calling later. Right now, am enjoying my new hair cut. It feels much light and easier to care for. Watch out for the debute of my new hair cut--coming soon! ;-) For now, this is the lovely skirt I wore to church. Alphabet H: Headband or Hat

I can be a little indecisive at times. I had to run to the grocery shop, but didn't know whether to go with just the head band or the hat--pretty hot outside if I may add. Finally, I settled with just the headband.

Pop of Color

It feels so good to just be home sleeping in today. I have finally decided to get contacts--yes, I do use prescription glasses which I dislike because it hurts the bridge of my nose and it makes it difficult for me to wear my lovely sunglasses ;-). Hope I like using contact because I don't like the idea of sticking my hands in my eyes lol. Stay tuned because I will definitely have my complains or love for the contacts.

I had a question from an anonymous reader who wanted to know places where to take kids to in Lagos or Abuja, Nigeria. To answer your question my lovely reader, I have found some few places I believe your kids will enjoy. In Lagos, there are places like the Water Park, Lekki Conservation Center in Lekki, Silver Bird Cinema, Fantasy Land, and Funtopia to name a few. In Abuja, there are Wonderland Park, Children's Garden, and Millennium Park. I hope this helps!

It's Sunday :)

Happy Sunday, my dear readers; first, I will love to thank you guys so so much for your kind words and comments. It always makes my day seeing those sweet comments. :)
Today started off with church service and then I made spaghetti. Gosh! I could probably each spaghetti or any pasta everyday without getting tired of it--just love pasta!!! The rest of the day, I will probably go see a movie or just rent a movie and do the whole home date movie thing with bf ;-)

Stripes

I am feeling fall in the air already! may be because the weather has started to charge slowly. Here, it's slightly cooler than usual in the mornings & evenings. Am not really complaining; for some reason this year, am excited for fall--then again, I hate when it is too cold and windy like we are expecting a snow storm. Either way, I am looking forward to fall :-)

Change of topic, am really enjoying the Olympics, especially the swimming and gymnastics. I am patiently awaiting the track events.

Fest Africa

I had a blast this weekend. I went for this Fest Africa in Baltimore, MD. It's a Festival that showcases all things Africa. There were different types of foods, performers, fashion from different parts of Africa. I really enjoyed the last performer of the day Mike Okri. I didn't know who the performer was until I finally heard him perform and it brought back memories of when I was younger and hearing his song all over the radio in Nigeria.
