On Fridays, I'd like to show off some of my favorite finds from French designers or shops. Today: a few of my picks from the online catalog am.pm. I've been searching for a trestle desk to use as a work table at home, but haven't had any luck- aside from the antique one I saw at Anthropologie. But it was too rickety and too pricey...so I thought of making my own, but that's one of those projects that looks simple until you delve into it...especially if you have no carpentry skills (like me). I found this one at
am.pm, the home division of
LaRedoute.com, the french catalog. I have no idea about the quality of their furniture (as sometimes catalog furniture quality can be dicey,) however, unfortunately, they don't ship their furniture overseas. So I'll keep looking around until I find one, preferably at a flea market or antique store in an out-of-the way place.
