I was very surprised to learn that this Extravaganza Face Kit costs a whopping $210. After opening the package, however, I can see the justification. The casing itself is sturdy, thick, and feels... expensive. The brushes are literally made of gold. Everything about this kit screams luxury. If you're someone with expensive taste, this brush kit is definitely for you. And if you think this kit costs too much, just add up the price of a few MAC brushes and it's quite equivalent. Now imagine if MAC came out with 18K plated brushes. (Can we say unaffordable?) I haven't gotten a chance to use most of these brushes so expect the full review in a few days.

Sigma Extravaganza Face Kit ($210 at sigmabeauty.com)

I have also just received the Extravaganza Full Kit (releases December 19th) and I am literally at a lost for words. It is a collector's dream collection. The Sigma Bunny Collection contains my favorite makeup brushes of this year, but no doubt the Extravaganza Full Kit is the best thing that any makeup lover could ask for this holiday season. I'm not kidding at all... If you are only going to get one kit this season, save up for the Extravaganza. You might never need another kit ever again. Jouer Liquid Shimmer Eyeliners were released earlier this year as a part of their Mad About Fall 2011 Collection. Each shade in this eyeliner collection contains subtle shimmers for exciting, yet wearable looks. These eyeliners contain Vitamins A and E and are completely paraben-free. The formula is water-base, which means it takes a minute or two to dry - but also means the eyeliner is gentle on the eyes and is easy to remove. I've worn this navy charcoal eyeliner for 6+ hours without even a smudge.

Jouer Cosmetics Hydrating Lipstick in Dusty ($22) is not a true nude, but a natural color with a great hint of dusty rose.

The Hydrating Lipstick in Dusty is quite true to its name. It feels extremely moisturizing upon application. It doesn't hydrate and protect your lips like a lip balm does, but there is no need for lip balm while you're wearing the actual lipstick. The color is beautiful: not a pale nude, but more of a natural beige tone. The end result is like my lips, but lighter, dustier, and so much smoother.

The Anastasia Beauty Express kit contains all you will ever need for your brows. This set comes in two colors: blonde and brunette. I was fortunate enough to receive the brunette set to test out.

Brow Wax Cream, Brow Powder Duo, Eyeshadow Duo, Stencils, Angled Brush

I have been testing the Beauty Express kit out for weeks and find myself extremely impressed with it. The wax along with the powders really help keep the color on all day. Mixing the duo ensures that the color comes out natural looking. The eyeshadows included aren't too shabby either as they are perfect for a neutral look. The stencils are really useful for beginners, though they tend to be longer than I like. The brush is a good one as it is stiff and perfectly angled. 

Anastasia Beverly HillsBeauty Express For Brows and Eyes in Brunette

This kit is an improvement over the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Zing, although its size makes it less ideal for traveling. And priced at $39.50, this can be a steep investment for your brows. Consider it if you are having troubles getting your brows just right. The Beauty Express is available at Sephora, Ulta, or Anastasia's website.

Andre Walker Make Peace with Your Hair

Make Peace with Your Hair is the hair care line of Grammy Award winning hair stylist, Andre Walker. Their Q-Oil Quench-Essential Oil is made from virgin argan oil. As you may know from my previous review, I am a huge fan of argan oil. I love adding just a bit of the oil to my roots to defrizz. I recommend using a very small amount - especially if you have flat or oily hair like mine.

The Andre Walker's Q-Oil is similar to Cecilia Wong's, but costs a portion of the price by volume. That said, if you don't have particularly thick and unmanageable hair, you can skip the pricey brands and just order pure argan oil for a truly affordable price.

Quench-Essential is Andre Walker's way of describing his favorite nourishment for hungry hair. Made from the purest Virgin Argan Oil of Morocco, this light, easy to use oil absorbs instantly into the hair, creating amazing shine. Your hair will be easier to manage, stronger, and smoother with just a little Q-Oil applied to your driest areas every day. Comes in a convenient dispenser for just the right amount.

Andre Walker also produces a Total Keratin Obsession Deep Conditioning Pak. It works as well as most professional deep conditioners. My only complaint is the packaging. The packet allows for two applications, but the packaging makes it too difficult to store. If you're going to get this, buy the jars not the packet.
